Zebra mussels have been the subject of numerous publications in both North America and Europe. This section provides a listing of many scientific and general publications as of July 1994. Peer-reviewed scientific publications make up the bulk of this section. Every effort has been made to make this listing as comprehensive as possible, but do not consider it exclusively comprehensive for all zebra mussel publications. The publications in this section are arranged in alphabetical order by primary author. In an effort to simplify literature searches, Sea Grant publications and Conference Proceedings are contained in separate sections.

Sea Grant Information

What is Sea Grant?

A national program created in 1966 to solve coastal problems and develop marine resources. It is a bridge between government and academia, scientists and private citizens. It is a partnership with a purpose - to help Americans understand and more wisely use our precious Great Lakes and ocean waters. Sea Grant educators bring the discoveries into the nation's schools, using them to pioneer new and better ways of teaching, helping to create a new generation of scientifically literate Americans. Together, separate elements create a cohesive whole, ensuring that Sea Grant meets the challenge of its mandate.
