WHERE: The Erie Canal has historically played an important role in the introduction of invasive (exotic) plants and animal into and between the Great Lakes, Hudson River, and Finger Lakes watersheds. Learn about the Erie Canal and invasive species and how you and your students can help prevent their introduction and spread.

TO REGISTER: Come join us for hands-on activities, a boat tour of the canal, and a demonstration of biological sampling techniques that could be used with your students for a monitoring program. Honorarium and lunch provided. Held at the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Lower Great Lakes Fishery Resources Office, Amherst, NY and the Erie Canal, Lockport, NY.
