Fish School Stewardship Program
- Requirements
What is the purpose of this stewardship program?
1. To underscore the nutritional benefits of eating fish
2. Raise awareness of fish contaminates
3 Change behavior among sensitive populations whose health may be seriously impacted
Who does the work?
Projects should be executed by youth in grades 6 - 12 and guided by formal or non-formal educators. All youth in the group should be involved in the planning and completion stages. They can be involved in one project or in separate projects.
How extensive does our project need to be?
The project needs to go beyond the education setting and have at its heart a community-based activity.

Please complete and return the preliminary action plan so that we can contact you to see if you need any additional information or assistance.
How many projects can you do?
You can do as many projects as you would like. (Only one stipend per educator.)

When must the project be completed?
The stewardship project must be completed and all materials sent in by August 31, 2007 to qualify for the $100 stipend. Project materials include (all forms are located on the website).

Who gets the $100 stipend?
The first 16 educators who complete their project and send all required materials to Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant will receive the stipend.
