As the program director, Dr. Brian Miller is responsible for the programmatic, fiscal, personnel, and administrative management of Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant. He coordinates and participates in state, regional, and national collaborative projects focusing on Great Lakes and Sea Grant priority research, outreach, and education issues. Brian also fosters partnerships with university and agency natural resource programs.
Brian has been with IISG since 1994. Before becoming the director in 2007, he oversaw the outreach component of the program.
Brian earned his doctorate at Purdue University in the social science aspect of natural resources. He serves as an adjunct associate professor in the Purdue University Department of Forestry and Natural Resources.
