Creating a list of topic areas that encapsulates the many initiatives and publications of Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant is a slippery task. One can’t resist saying that the ideas tend to flow together. For example, restoration efforts affect water quality, which affects land use planning, which affects Great Lakes health, which affects fish consumption safety and drinking water supplies. You could reverse much of that statement or connect the dots in any number of ways.
The larger point here is that water resource and coastal issues are interconnected. They are also connected to overall ecological and economic health and success in the two states. This also means that you may find some of our initiatives listed in more than one topic area below. We think this makes sense and we hope it makes it easy to find what you are looking for.
